Fighting has been a part of our relationship.

We are like Tom & Jerry who always clash.

We quarrel, we grouch, we mock, & we beef,

But love has always been on top.

I shed tears because of you.

You shed tears because of me.

There may be times we hurt each other,

Yet love has always been on top.

Today, relationship is on the rocks.

Reasons are tormenting and hurting,

Actions were never expected to come about,

Because love has always been on top.

If the love is real, then why did it leave us wounded?

Why were those actions made?

Perhaps, it's time to stop believing

That love has always been on top.
