A Cold Christmas '10

Colorful lights, Christmas trees, singing little carolers, tasty foods, lovely clothes, simbang gabi, aguinaldo, gifts... These are some of the things seen during Christmas.

Honestly, I am a Muslim and don't celebrate Christmas. But being surrounded with my mom's side who are Christian, I join them in celebrating this very special day, except doing the simbang gabi.

This year 2010, my Christmas was fine. I celebrated it with my relatives. Tummies were full because many delicious foods were served, sang through videoke machine all day while dancing, and gave aguinaldo/gifts to our respective godchildren.

What I really waited for this day were my little cousins, nephews, and nieces wearing their cutest clothes. And I was right! All of them were so twee and I could say the color of the day was PINK. See the proof?! :-D

I also would like to show a picture of my cousins and me with our towering heights. Lolz! 2 girls beside me are 5 feet 8 inches tall. I only stand at 5 feet 6 inches tall. I needed to make barbie toes in this photo just to look taller than them. Lolz! :D
When evening came, some of my cousins and I opted to hangout. So we went to Marquee Mall then proceeded to Ka Boom Ka Boom, a theme park.
That's how I ended Christmas day. Wonderin' why I didn't spend my Christmas with my family? My family is in Saudi Arabia, working for a living and I went to the Philippines to take college, just like any other Filipino children in abroad do after secondary education. That is why it became a COLD CHRISTMAS for me. I couldn't celebrate it with my family. I am 7771 kilometers away from them. I wasn't able to go there because I'm very busy in school, but I do come back there every semestral break. However my parents phoned and greeted me that day. We talked over skype as well. OMG! I just missed them so much. And before I closed my eyes to sleep, I just imagined what would my little sister and 2 tubby nephews look like in their Christmas getups. CUTE indeed! :-)

This is how my family spent holiday in Saudi Arabia...

I am now a junior college student. After a year, I'll be spending Christmas again with my oh-so-loving family. :-) Nevertheless, still happy coz I got my relatives who can be with me during moment like this.

Always remember, distance is not a hitch for a strong family, especially in special days.

How about you? How was your Christmas 2010?

Have a joyous holiday season!!!

A newbie in the world of blogging...

Previously I didn't know anything about blogs. But I've always heard the words "blogging" and "blog" from other people and even have seen those two words in websites. Surfing the net had become the way for me to get an idea what blogging is.

I had my multiply, friendster, and facebook accounts. I see friends create notes containing numerous paragraphs and sometimes photos/videos. And when I read them, they are about the creators' comments, stories, chronicles or whatever stuffs they want to share. And I may say that some of them could literally form "diary" through their blogs. :D

Now that I have knowledge of blogs, I felt like I want to be a part of this world. I want to share my stories, express my feelings, impart some learnings, tell my interests, and a lot more. :) In addition, I want to interact with YOU through your comments and messages. :)

So here I am... WELCOME TO MY WORLD!!!

Life Lately #3

I fell in love with vlogging! My time for blogging has been given to recording and editing. That’s the reason I have no blog entry for th...
